This semi-detached, 1930s property has been renovated to increase its heat retaining ability. This has involved installing insulation in cavity walls, under floors and in the loft. The renewable energy technologies installed include PV, solar thermal and a wood stove. Other energy saving measure include the use of low energy lighting, and the installation of double glazing.
The energy saving improvements combined to produce a 79% carbon reduction, significantly reduced bills and generally a much warmer and more energy efficient house .
