A typical 1900-built Crookes mid terraced house with passage, in a very exposed, windy location, which has had lots of work to make it warm and energy efficient.
1992/3 Best-practice eco-renovation:
1. High spec windows from Green Building Store
2. Warmcel insulation of attic ceiling and rear wall
3. Mineral wool insulation under kitchen floor.
2015 May:
1. Nick Parsons (Sustainable Building) re-insulated the attic ceiling (with 150mm Kingspan foam)
2. Nick Parsons (Sustainable Building) upgraded air-tightness of rear wall internal lining (50mm Warmcel).
3. Homeco installed 3.6kWp PV East/West arrays.
4. Composite (fibreglass) doors front & back.
2015 Oct:
1. Finish upgraded air-tightness of rear wall internal lining
2. Insulation under lounge floor - wadding made from recycled plastic bottles
